UnlockSpaces Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

UnlockSpaces provides a platform for space owners ("Hosts") to list their event spaces and for individuals or organizations ("Organizers") to discover, book, and use these spaces for various events.

2. User Eligibility

• Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the platform.
• By using UnlockSpaces, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.

3. Account Registration and Responsibilities

• Account Creation: Users must create an account to list or book spaces. Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us of any unauthorized use.
• Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information.
• Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts if users violate these Terms.

4. Listing Spaces

• Host Responsibilities: Hosts are responsible for ensuring that their listings are accurate, complete, and lawful. This includes providing truthful descriptions, pricing, availability, and any specific rules.
• Compliance: Hosts must comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to operating their space as an event venue.

5. Booking Spaces

• Organizer Responsibilities: Organizers must provide accurate booking information and abide by any rules set by Hosts.
• Booking Confirmation: Bookings are only confirmed once payment is processed through our platform.
• Event Compliance: Organizers are responsible for ensuring that their event complies with all applicable laws, including obtaining permits if necessary.

6. Fees and Payments

• Service Fees: UnlockSpaces charges a service fee on each booking, which may vary based on transaction details.
• Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through our platform. We are not responsible for delays due to payment provider issues.
• Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellation and refund policies vary by listing. Organizers should review each listing"s specific terms before booking. UnlockSpaces may withhold service fees in the event of a cancellation.

7. Damage and Liability

• Organizer Responsibility: Organizers are liable for any damage they or their guests cause to the Host"s space.
• Host Responsibility: Hosts agree to maintain their spaces in a safe, usable condition.
• UnlockSpaces Liability: UnlockSpaces is not liable for any damages, loss, or injuries that occur on Host premises. We serve only as a marketplace connecting Hosts and Organizers.

8. Disputes and Resolution

• Dispute Resolution: If a dispute arises between Hosts and Organizers, we encourage both parties to resolve it amicably. UnlockSpaces may mediate but is not obligated to do so.
• Binding Arbitration: In the event that disputes cannot be resolved, they must be settled through binding arbitration, as per Ghanaian law.

9. Prohibited Activities

• Misuse of the Platform: Users may not post false information, infringe on intellectual property rights, or engage in fraudulent or illegal activity.
• Code of Conduct: Both Hosts and Organizers agree to treat each other and the UnlockSpaces community respectfully.

10. Intellectual Property

All content and intellectual property on UnlockSpaces, including the website design, logo, and listings, are the property of UnlockSpaces or the respective Hosts. Users may not copy, distribute, or exploit this content without permission.

11. Modifications to Terms

UnlockSpaces may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of major changes. Continued use of the platform after changes signifies acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

UnlockSpaces provides the platform "as-is" and "as available." We make no guarantees regarding the functionality, availability, or suitability of spaces listed on the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnlockSpaces disclaims any liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any disputes must be resolved in accordance with Ghanaian law.
